After that, Simatex Study in Russia & Dr. Lasantha Amarakoon, president of Russian Educational Centre effectively organized a visit to RUDN University and Sechenov University together with the ambassador.
We were having a nice meeting together with Oleg Yastrebov, RUDN University Rector and Larisa Efremova, Vice-Rector of RUDN University for International Affairs along with Andrey Alekseevich Svistunov - First Vice-Rector Sechenov University and Enikeev Dmitriy Viktorovich - Professor of Sechenov University coming to join us in this grand meeting.
Where we had very interesting and productive meeting, we discussed many matters and affairs together with universities regarding the higher education between Sri Lanka and Russia. Furthermore, we also discussed about the student & staff exchange program between Russian and Sri Lanka universities.
During the meeting, they discussed the study of Sri Lankan students at RUDN University and validation of Russian diplomas. RUDN University Rector assured the meeting participants that the issue of diploma validation would be resolved in the near future.
We were having a fruitful and thorough discussion. The meeting was a huge success. After the successful and positive meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, Professor Janitha Abeywickrema Liyanage decided to spend her precious time to meet with the Sri Lanka students who study in Russia.
