RVPO - temporary residence permit for studying
Foreign students at state universities who study full-time bachelor's, specialist's, master's degrees, as well as residency programs, assistantships/internships with state accreditation, or training programs for academic staff in graduate school (postgraduate Studying) will be able to apply for RVPO.
From January 1, 2023, foreign students will be able to receive RVPO, this “student” permit will be valid throughout the entire period of study and an additional 180 days after graduation.
In case of expulsion from an educational institution, the student’s RVPO will be annulled.
Please note that this option will only be possible for full-time students, while part-time students will stay in Russia on the same basis.
